About MSRTC

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), known everywhere as ST, runs one of India's largest public bus networks. Its red buses, fondly called Lalpari, connect big cities, small towns and villages across all of Maharashtra and into neighbouring states.

Bus types

Ordinary (Lalpari)

The classic red "Lalpari" bus. It is the most affordable and stops at most towns on the way.

Semi-Luxury (Hirkani)

Hirkani buses have push-back seats and fewer stops than ordinary buses.

Shivshahi AC

Air-conditioned buses with reclining seats on busy intercity routes.

Shivneri AC

Premium air-conditioned coaches, best known on the Mumbai–Pune route.

Sleeper

Overnight buses with berths for long journeys.

E-Shivneri (Electric)

Battery-electric Shivneri coaches, which are quiet, air-conditioned and zero-emission.

E-Shivai (Electric AC)

Electric air-conditioned buses with modern comfort for intercity routes.
